Santorum was elected to the House of Representatives in 1990. I heard about Santorum during the 1994 Republican Revolution. While I do not agree with on a variety of issues, Santorum has always struck me as a principled and honest man who will tell you exactly what he thinks. That is a wonderful and rare quality in a politician.
